After an extensive six-month transformation, andBeyond Ngala Tented Camp has reopened, offering an elevated experience of luxury and seclusion on the banks of the Timbavati River. Known for its abundant wildlife and romantic bush setting, the redesigned camp blends timeless elegance with contemporary enhancements, promising an unforgettable stay in the African wilderness.

Nestled within the private andBeyond Ngala Game Reserve, which shares open borders with the renowned Kruger National Park, the camp remains a haven for extraordinary wildlife encounters. From the elusive African wild dog to the area’s celebrated white lions, the region offers guests an intimate connection with nature’s most captivating wonders.
The reimagined guest tents now feature an expanded layout, including private outdoor spaces ideal for unwinding in the afternoon sun. Redesigned bathrooms boast both indoor and outdoor showers, along with a luxurious al fresco bathtub, blending comfort with the immersive beauty of the bush. Enhancements such as discreet butler hatches, outdoor screens, and rerouted pathways further elevate the sense of tranquillity and seclusion.

The shared guest areas have been meticulously reimagined to maximize their breathtaking location above the dry riverbed. Expanded decks with sleek awnings now offer a variety of dining settings, while the lounge provides an inviting vantage point for relaxing and soaking in the serene surroundings.
A highlight of the camp, the swimming pool and surrounding deck have also been expanded, creating a welcoming oasis for both guests and visiting wildlife. Shaded salas offer a perfect spot for sunbathing or enjoying informal poolside meals. Complementing the camp’s wellness offerings, the existing spa has been extended, and a state-of-the-art gym has been added, providing guests with a well-rounded retreat experience.
In keeping with its timeless aesthetic, the camp’s interiors strike a harmonious balance between traditional and contemporary design. Shangaan-inspired mid-century silhouettes are paired with regional embroidered textiles, set against the camp’s signature granite stone and canvas backdrops. This refined ambiance ensures that Ngala Tented Camp remains a sanctuary of elegance and authenticity.

Continuing its commitment
to an exclusive and tranquil experience,
the camp welcomes children aged twelve and above, offering a sophisticated and private alternative
to the family-oriented Ngala Safari Lodge
located in the reserve’s northern section.
